My daughter's name is Isabella (pronounced eesabella) her name is the Italian form of Elizabeth and the only acceptable shortening of her name that I allow is Bella because Bella means beautiful in Italian. She goes by both names and I am biased to the name for obvious reasons. Hope that helps you some.
