We love the name Sophia, but since it's so popular we liked her nickname instead! I love that it's an Irish name too. We also like Addison but my sister is Abby so hoping Addy for a nickname wouldn't be bad? Thoughts?

Fia is a very original name, not one that I've ever heard or seem here in Camada. I would also be weary about giving the similar nicknames. If you happen to have Abby who is Abigail that you nickname Abby, that would give that separation. Otherwise, I believe they are too close for people who are not immediate family to not constantly mix them up. Otherwise, Addison would possibly lose her ability to be Addy anytime she's in a life where they know Abby. it definitely makes it difficult. Plus, b and d are hard for kids to get correct, so it would be a struggle in the earlier years when they are writing their names.
